BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Hong Kong, Billy came to study in America for college, went to school at Iowa Central Community College, in Fort Dodge. He started making ceramics while going to school at Iowa Central. Later on he transferred to Northwest Missouri State University to get a Bachelor Degree in Art – with a focus in Ceramics.

After Billy got his bachelor degree, a former teacher, Maureen Seamond at Iowa Central, gave him the opportunity to work in her studio in Webster City, Iowa, 

Billy then went on to graduate school at the University of Iowa, Graduating with an MFA in Ceramics in 2018. He currently works at the University of Iowa as a Labs Specialist. Billy vows that he is retiring from Ceramics as of ClayAkar's 2023 Yunomi show.
