This special exhibition features 40 ceramic works by local artist Alea Mae. The collection includes both wheel-thrown functional ware and hand-built vessels. A highlight of the show is Alea's  new series of High Fired Gas Reduction pieces. Each piece fired in the new gas kilns at the Iowa Ceramics Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Also included are a selection of Alea's Functional-Entomology collection. Drawing from her fascination with insects, these pieces are usable, functional ceramics with dried insects cast under a layer of protective resin!
