From the artist: "My work begins at the pottery wheel, then pieces are stretched, carved, and trimmed to embrace gesture and curve. Pots go into my train kiln bare. My crew and I spend an inordinate amount of time playing with wads to play with shadow, halos, and resist. The fire wraps around the pots and wads and embraces the work in ash and flash.
Work is food-safe and microwave safe. Cups and bowls are safe in the dishwasher. More delicate pieces like teapots should be washed by hand."
