From the artist: The pots I'm sending are from the "Modernist" Series, based on a study of objects from the early to mid-20th century that we designed and manufactured. Unlike my inspirations, the work in this series uses clay and glazes that are dark, rich, textured and variable, to emphasize their materiality and handmade qualities.

All pots are hand built using pinch-pots and coils. They are made with mid-temperature stoneware and fired in an electric kiln to cone 6. They may be put into a dishwasher but should probably not be put in the microwave because of the high iron content in the clay.
