ARTIST BIO

Andrew Krueger is a ceramic artist and educator based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, creating Modern forms with punchy crystalline glazes. Though he did not pursue a formal university training in ceramics, Andrew has developed his skill through self-directed study with the aid of generous mentors, including Lisa Orr, Holly McKeen, and Ted Secombe. You can find Andrews' work at fine art fairs and galleries across the United States, as well as in various print publications. 

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is driven by a search for optimism in a world that often feels overloaded and discordant. I aim to create forms that have beautiful, crisp lines and a sense of bountiful volume.
Surface becomes a site of joy, both visual and tactile. My matte crystalline glazes feature punchy, rainbow-gradient color and a silky smooth finish that invites touch and interaction. This palette draws from the vibrant pops of retrofuturism, while the crystals echo its campy, exuberant spirit. These Modernist-inspired pieces are designed to elevate the everyday and spark moments of delight within the home.
