I intend for my work to speak to the broadest audience possible. I tap into
universal themes and emotions expressed through character based vessels. I
employ familiarity, humor, craft, play, and surprise. I find inspiration from many
sources, including: David Smith, Robert Arneson, Clayton Bailey, vintage toys,
pop surrealism, old signs, thrift stores, and childhood memories. Ultimately I
hope that the joy I experience in making is shared with the viewer.
