"Davie Marie Reneau Glasgow, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of Martha Powell Reneau Harrison and the late David Isaac Reneau. She was a former professor in the Art Department of Campbellsville University. An extensive traveler, she was a potter and a member of "Women in the Woods"."

About the Artist:
Davie Reneau was a ceramic artist celebrated for her functional and sculptural wood-fired pottery. Born in Glasgow, KY, her rural upbringing on a family farm influenced her work's form and surface. The rolling farmland shaped the volume and character of her pieces.
She received her B.F.A from Western Kentucky University and her M.F.A from West Virginia University, and went on to become an Assistant Professor of Art at Campbellsville University. She received a wide variety of awards, grants, and honors from various art groups, and her work was frequently selected and displayed by fine arts exhibitions.
Campbellsville University is a widely-acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 13,000 students offering more than 90 programs of study including Ph.D., master, baccalaureate, associate, pre-professional and certification programs. The university has off-campus centers in Kentucky cities Louisville, Harrodsburg, Somerset, Hodgenville and Liberty with Kentucky instructional sites in Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Summersville.
