To communicate ideas through making, to nurture the symbiotic relationship of teaching and learning, and to gain a broader understanding of the world through dedication to those two things drives my artistic practice. My work in clay is varied, running the gamut of slip-cast, modular, large-scale sculpture to simplistic, functional, wheel thrown or pinched pottery. I see each new expression in clay as a way to engage with my community locally and globally; a vehicle for sharing and celebrating history, heritage, and contemporary culture.
