Since my youth, science fiction films have captivated my imagination. Spaceships, robots, and other futuristic technology interest me in both their design and function (actual or fictional). I am interested in capturing the ultra modern look and feel of these machines and technology within my own work. The surface of the work serves as a canvas in which to incorporate shapes that reference the ultra modern. Employing traditional techniques and modern technology, layers of decoration are used to create a depth of imagery in order to investigate repetition, pattern, and line.
