As a former apprentice to Jeff Shapiro and graduate of Alfred University Eric Pardue has gone on to complete a Winter Residency with Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts. And has been involved with numerous solo and group shows. The surfaces of his work are blanketed with collaged images that create a story for the viewer. Eric says, “These narratives may refer to a specific current situation, past experience, a specific song lyric, or passages from books. Although the references I make are personal and come from my experiences, I do intend for the viewer to build on my intentions with their own ideas and to develop their own story as they interact with the piece.”
