My current work explores the abstract ideas of science and mythology used to explain the larger forces of nature. I find that there are similarities between the theories that scientists have developed through empirical research that pertain to the way that they have theorized existence operates, and the way mythology has in the past believed existence to behave.
I have taken the idea of the scientific method and used it to imbue my vessels by dissecting the form, reflecting the dissected form of a scaled dragon. I finish my work with the wood fire process to create surfaces that move across the vessel disregarding my attempt to create order through form.
