A quick glance can capture and entice an audience, something a little different like an art deco pattern in the abdomen of a bee. The whole story is not always seen immediately. The underneath, small details within a drawing, or insides can have some of the best detail and patterns. It’s those hidden treasures that I wish my audience to experience. I create pieces that are used to perform daily rituals such as morning coffee, lunch, or dinner and statement pieces that stand alone and can compliment natural beauty. Inspired by repeated shapes and mundane patterns that surround us in our day to day lives, such as building reinforcements, honeycombs, textiles, prints, and clothing with nods to ceramic history with fingerprints filled with orange.
