Artist Statement
The pots I create make room for both joy and intentionality. The sound from the rattles in the hollow feet of the rocks cups and the instability of the rounded bottoms of the shot cups both bring your attention to the present, to the object you hold in your hand. The pitchers I make also make use of sound; the hollow handle creates space for water to glug. You must regulate your pouring to use them successfully. Together, this work curates an immersive, intentional experience. I want you to shake your cup around while doing the dishes, to consider your drink, and pay attention to your pour--to celebrate.
