I have always been aware of the connection between each form I create
and the environment it will exist in.  I consider the homes it will inhabit and
the hands that will hold it - the relationship between the vessel and its user
inspires my forms and surface. Deceptively simple objects offer
sophisticated moments where fingers discover defined texture between
exposed clay and art deco themed glazes, lips rest on a smoothly glazed
portions of otherwise bare rims, and thumbs settle into a soft indentation
found on a hand pulled handle.  These intimate moments offer quiet
contemplation in our otherwise busy lives.
