"My butter dishes hold an entire stick of butter. The butter is pressed fully into the opening. This butter dish was designed to fit into the butter compartment of a contemporary refrigerator if one so chooses. I have a scan code on the inside of the lids that will take you to a little video showing how to load the butter dish."
