Wheel thrown with porcelain, painted with underglazes. The interior is a glossy celadon, the exterior is unglazed polished porcelain to allow the clay to feel like weathered stone, the porcelain is fired to cone 5 in oxidation, in an electric kiln. Exterior bare clay is vitrified (water tight) and will not stain. *Wash by hand or in the dishwasher, interior may stain over time but is easily cleaned with an abrasive scouring pad.
